Pay: $67.50/hr W2 OR $80.50/hr 1099
Contract: 12 months

Overview
Northrop Grumman is seeking a Quality Inspector 2 to support manufacturing and repair programs by ensuring products conform to engineering drawings, quality management system requirements, and contractual specifications. This role will support spacecraft component manufacturing and assembly operations through detailed inspections, testing, documentation, and quality assurance activities.

The ideal candidate will have experience performing dimensional and visual inspections, interpreting engineering drawings, utilizing precision measuring equipment, and supporting aerospace or manufacturing quality environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspections on in-process and completed products
• Inspect spacecraft components, assemblies, and subassemblies to verify compliance with specifications
• Utilize precision measuring equipment including:
  • Calipers
  • Micrometers
  • Comparators
  • Pin gauges
  • Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM)
• Review products for compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and quality requirements
• Make acceptance, rejection, or rework determinations based on inspection results
• Support manufacturing and engineering teams to resolve quality and documentation issues
• Identify, document, and track non-conforming materials and assist with root cause investigations
• Perform receiving inspections on purchased materials and components
• Maintain detailed inspection records, reports, and quality documentation
• Work from drawings, diagrams, specifications, BOMs, and inspection instructions

Basic Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• 3+ years of education and/or direct experience in quality assurance or inspection
• Experience using precision measuring equipment and inspection tools
• Ability to perform dimensional and visual inspections
• Experience reading engineering drawings and specifications

• Understanding of GD&T
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience working in collaborative manufacturing environments
• Experience with IPC-A-610 and IPC-A-620 workmanship standards
• Aerospace manufacturing experience
• Mechanical assembly inspection experience
• Electronic assembly inspection experience
