About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) to join our team. In this role, you will perform a wide range of laboratory tests and play a critical role in delivering accurate and timely diagnostic results that directly impact patient care. You will work across multiple laboratory departments including Chemistry, Hematology, Blood Bank, Microbiology, Serology, Urinalysis, and Coagulation, supporting a diverse patient population from newborns to geriatrics.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform waived, moderate, and high-complexity laboratory testing with accuracy and efficiency
• Conduct and document daily quality control procedures, ensuring compliance with standards
• Perform preventive maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of laboratory equipment
• Accurately analyze and report test results, including critical values to physicians and care teams
• Maintain compliance with laboratory protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
• Assist in supervising laboratory operations in the absence of leadership
• Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and laboratory staff
• Participate in on-call rotations, holidays, and emergency/disaster response as required

Patient Population

You will support testing and diagnostics for a broad range of patients, including:

• Newborns and pediatric patients
• Adolescents and adults
• Geriatric patients
• Internal staff, physicians, and the broader community

Qualifications

Education & Training:

• Bachelor's degree in a science-related field
• Completion of a California-approved CLS training program (1 year)

Experience:

• Minimum 1 year experience (CLS Trainee Program completion required)
• 3+ years experience preferred for sign-on bonus eligibility

Licensure:

• Active California Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) License (Required)

• Must be able to work nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts
• Expected to respond during emergencies and community disasters as required
