Job Title

Oncology RN / MICU Step-Down Unit (SDU)

Cleveland, OH | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Rotating Shifts (7:00 AM–7:30 PM / 7:00 PM–7:30 AM) | Every Other Weekend, Every Other Holiday | Expected 36 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an oncology and medical intensive care step-down unit setting
• Monitor and manage patients requiring step-down and telemetry-level care
• Assist with pre- and post-operative care for surgical oncology patients
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
• Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in accordance with facility protocols

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of Ohio or a compact state license
• Current BLS certification required
• Experience in oncology nursing
• Experience in step-down or surgical nursing
• Telemetry experience required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a medical intensive care or MICU step-down environment
• Familiarity with oncology-specific medications and treatment protocols
• Strong critical thinking and patient assessment skills in high-acuity settings
