As a Production Technician, you'll play a key role in manufacturing operations by ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality production. This is a hands-on role for individuals who enjoy working with equipment, solving problems, and being part of a strong team.Principal Duties and Responsibilities:Safely operate and monitor production equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentAccurately perform board inspections and accurately measure objects using a standard tape measure and a six inch scaleAccurately document production data, and quality checksOperate unit wrapper and perform all associated tasksOperate board grinders and prepare and feed scrap productsOperate compactor equipment and associated tasksProperly set up and operate cutting machineOperate printer equipment and bar code machineOperate a tow motor and obtain licenseMaintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work areaAdditional Responsibilities:Read and understand production scheduleComply with all plant rulesComply with safety regulations and maintain a clean and orderly work areaRegular attendance and maintain a good attendance recordBe a team playerAll other duties as assigned or neededEducation:High School Diploma or GED EquivalentExperience Preferred:Manufacturing Environment Production Worker, Production Associate, Assembly Production Laborer, Grinder, Assembler Production Equipment Operator, Set up The employee should possess: 1 to 5 years of experience in a manufacturing setting Accurately read tape measurers Ability to work overtime as necessaryEssential Physical Requirements/Work Environment:Ability to routinely lift up to 55 lbs. without assistance Work up to 12 hours in hot/cold manufacturing environment Walk/stand on concrete floor continuously for up to 12 hours Safeguard self with Personal protective Equipment (PPE) Use cleaning equipment or tools as necessary for housekeeping dutiesNearest Major Market: Akron Nearest Secondary Market: Cleveland
