Remote Senior Software Engineer (Python)

DescriptionKforce's client, a growing technology company in the Denver, CO metro area is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Python) to join their team. Working directly with the hiring manager, this full-time remote position offers the opportunity to build modern cloud-connected SaaS and IoT solutions while contributing across the full software stack. This position is fully remote. The client offers competitive compensation that includes base salary, annual bonus, and equity (RSUs).What You'll Do:* Design, develop, and maintain scalable software applications and services* Build REST APIs, backend systems, and modern web applications* Develop solutions using Python, Go, TypeScript/JavaScript, React, and SQL databases* Work with cloud technologies in Azure and support CI/CD pipelines* Implement event-driven architectures utilizing message brokers such as NATS, Kafka, or similar technologies* Lead technical projects, mentor engineers, and participate in architecture and system design decisions* Collaborate with product, QA, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality softwareRequirements* 5+ years of software development experience* Strong hands-on experience with Python* Front-end development experience with React, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS* Experience with PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MySQL, or similar databases* Experience building REST APIs, microservices, and scalable cloud applications* Experience leading projects or technical initiatives* Experience leading less experienced software developers would be ideal* Strong system design and problem-solving skillsPreferred Experience:* Message brokers such as NATS, Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar* Time-series databases or large-scale data environments* Docker, Kubernetes, and DevOps/CI/CD practices* SaaS, IoT, or regulated industry experience* FedRAMP exposure* Golang experience* Experience leveraging AI-assisted development toolsIdeal Candidate:The hiring manager is looking for someone who:* Has led software projects from design through implementation* Possesses strong full-stack expertise in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, and SQL databases* Performs well in system design discussions* Enjoys mentoring teammates and solving complex technical challengesJob TypeDirect HireCompensation120000 - $150000
