Agency staff do not have guaranteed hours and may be downstaffed if the operational need is not present. Alternatively, agency staff may be reassigned to an open shift later in the week or floated to another unit or care site to maintain contracted hours. NIHSS, BLS, NRP, NIHSS certifications are required. This role involves providing care to laboring patients and supporting them through the labor and delivery process. The nurse will collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure high-quality care and support for patients and their families. Effective communication and the ability to respond to patients' needs are essential in this position. Flexibility and adaptability to meet the dynamic needs of the unit are important.
