Warehouse Order Selector

Location: Wells, ME 04090

  Pay Rate: $26.00 per hour

  Schedule: 1st Shift, 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM

 

About the Opportunity

We are seeking reliable and motivated  Warehouse Order Selectors to join a fast-paced grocery distribution operation in Wells, Maine. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy active work environments, consistent schedules, and the potential to transition into a full-time permanent position.

 

Employees will work in a refrigerated warehouse environment, selecting and palletizing grocery products using voice-directed technology and electric pallet jacks.

 

Schedule

• 1st Shift: 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM
• Days Off: Tuesday/Wednesday or Wednesday/Thursday
• Schedules are fixed and do not rotate
• Optional overtime available
• Weekly start dates available

 

Responsibilities

• Accurately select grocery products using a voice-directed picking system
• Operate ride-on and electric pallet jacks safely and efficiently
• Build and palletize customer orders according to established standards
• Verify product quantities and order accuracy
• Load and transport products throughout the warehouse
• Follow all safety procedures and warehouse operating guidelines
• Maintain productivity and quality standards in a fast-paced environment

 

Physical Requirements

This position is physically demanding and requires the ability to:

• Frequently lift and move products weighing up to 60 pounds
• Lift products to shoulder height and overhead when required
• Stand, walk, bend, reach, push, and pull throughout the shift
• Work in a refrigerated warehouse environment maintained between 34&degree;F and 37&degree;F

 

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse, order selecting, distribution, or pallet jack experience preferred
• Ability to obtain authorization to operate pallet jacks and warehouse equipment
• Comfortable working in cold temperatures throughout the shift
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
• Ability to pass required pre-employment screening requirements

• Refrigerated warehouse environment (34&degree;F to 37&degree;F)
• Voice-directed order selection technology
• Electric and ride-on pallet jack operation
• Safety-focused workplace

 

Additional Information

• Facility tours will be conducted prior to start and are required for consideration
• Hiring decisions will be made based on qualifications and experience
• Weekly onboarding classes available
• Employees converting to permanent status will be required to join the applicable union
• Steel-toed boots required
• Additional PPE may be provided by the employer
