-Start Training upon hire as an Assistant Coach-
CHEER COACH – PART-TIME (1 evening per week)
ACTIVSTARS is seeking an enthusiastic Cheer Coach who is excited to work with young athletes and bring their cheer experience back into action.
Ideal Candidate:
- Has previous cheerleading and/or coaching experience
- Enjoys working with children ages 4–15
- Is positive, energetic, and can serve as a strong role model
- Is at least 18 years old
- Has reliable transportation
Position Details:
- Part-time, one consistent evening per week (for example: every Tuesday evening)
- Coach three age groups (teams) in cheer basics, cheer dance, and pom routines
- Participate in three to four paid weekend events per semester (dates provided in advance)
Responsibilities include:
- Preparing lesson plans and running weekly practices
- Teaching skills safely and effectively
- Choreographing routines and performance cheers
- Introducing basic stunting fundamentals
- Managing attendance and simple records
Training Provided:
Paid training covers teaching guidelines, practice structure, and shadowing a veteran coach to learn class flow and expectations.
This position is ideal for college students, parents, and former cheerleaders who want to stay involved in the sport and make a positive impact. Great opportunity for someone who wants a fun, rewarding part-time role with competitive pay.
