Location: Hyannis, MA
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: 36 Hours/Week
Schedule: 12-Hour Night Shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Weekend/Holiday Requirement: Every Other Weekend and Holiday
Additional Requirement: May be required to float between affiliated hospital campuses and units

Weekly Gross: $2,100–$2,400/Week (Based on Experience)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical/Surgical Telemetry to provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in an acute-care hospital setting. The RN will be responsible for patient assessment, care planning, medication administration, monitoring, documentation, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary care team.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses and outcomes.
• Complete comprehensive patient assessments, including physical, psychological, and social needs.
• Develop and implement individualized plans of care and communicate pertinent patient information to the interdisciplinary team.
• Maintain accurate, current, and relevant patient records and nursing documentation.
• Demonstrate proficiency in the charge nurse role.
• Effectively utilize computerized nursing information systems.
• Serve as a resource for patient care, staff orientation, and education.
• Monitor the quality and appropriateness of patient care.
• Follow established safety procedures and blood/body-fluid exposure policies.
• Maintain professional competency and participate in continuing education and nursing committees.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and protect confidential hospital information.
• Provide high-quality customer service and represent the organization professionally.
• Float between affiliated hospital campuses and/or units as assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current, active Massachusetts RN license .
• Current BLS certification .
• Must successfully pass required pharmacology and basic arrhythmia examinations prior to start.
• Medical/Surgical experience in an acute-care facility within the last 2 years.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• BSN preferred.
• Cardiac patient management experience preferred.
• ACLS certification preferred.
