Responsibilities Set up and operate manual machining tools, including lathes, grinders, and milling machines, to produce precision metal parts. Interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings to determine accurate machining requirements. Use precision measurement tools, including calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and dial indicators, to verify part quality. Select and set up appropriate tooling and fixtures for efficient and accurate machining. Perform machine setup procedures with a strong focus on precision and efficiency. Inspect finished parts using GD&T standards to ensure compliance with specifications. Maintain a clean and organized work area while following all safety protocols. Requirements Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings. Proficiency in manual machining using lathes, mills, grinders, and other machining equipment. Experience using precision measurement tools, including calipers and micrometers, for quality control. Familiarity with CNC machining concepts is a plus but not required. Knowledge of EDM techniques is preferred. Ability to read blueprints accurately and apply GD&T standards effectively. Skilled in tool selection, tooling setup, and machine calibration for precision manufacturing. Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and conversions. Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of metal properties and machining techniques. Experience using hand and power tools in a manual machining environment.
