Essential Job Functions (EJFs) Attend work on a regular and predictable schedule in accordance with agency leave policy and perform other duties as assigned. Open, date, sort, or distribute mail (e.g., incoming/outgoing mail, reports, documents, printouts). Prepare and proofread correspondence, forms, and other documents, such as letters, memos, travel or purchase vouchers, using a computer and software. Communicate at a basic level with others (internally or externally) to provide, exchange, or verify information, answer inquiries, address issues, or resolve problems or complaints. Maintain records, files, or logs (e.g., administrative, personnel, contract, correspondence, forms, documents, purchasing, case files, tracking logs, file/documents on diskette) including filing, retrieving, or purging. Batch forms prior to data entry. Assemble materials into packets. Screen, code or correct, and data-enter documents. Be able to work occasional overtime, as required by management, outside of normal hours of operation, which may include weekends when called upon. Be able to work in a highly stressful and fast-paced environment, under constant pressure to meet required deadlines. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs) Knowledge of computers and internet usage. Ability to listen to clients, elicit, relate and evaluate information; and interpret terms as needed. Ability to complete required work within specified deadlines. Ability to read, understand, and apply a variety of interrelated instructions, such as those found in guidelines, regulations, and policies. Ability to communicate verbally and in writing. Registrations, Licensure Requirements or Certifications N/A Initial Screening Criteria High School diploma or GED equivalent is required. Experience working in a professional customer service environment. Thirty (30) hours credit from an accredited college or university OR one (1) year of customer service work experience is preferred. Bilingual (English / Spanish) skills preferred. Work experience using a computer for inquiry and data entry, preferred. Access and Eligibility Services Field Office normal hours of operation are Monday-Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Employees may be required to work overtime, as required by management, outside of normal hours of operation, which may include weekends.
