Field Mechanical Technician III - Pumps & Compressors

Job Title Mechanical Technician III Compensation Level III: $65/hr Agency truck provided – 1 ton crane truck with air compressor and stabilizers Tools supplied by contractor – One-time billable tool allowance of $8,000 (tools become property of XTO at assignment end) Quantity 1 – Big Lake, TX 1 – Midkiff, TX Location Big Lake, TX / Midkiff, TX Primary reporting/site reference 2625 County Rd 180 Garden City, TX 79739 Schedule 5/2 M-F plus on call rotation Target Start Date ASAP Family Engineering Class Equipment and Mechanical Main Functions Technicians are assigned to carry out maintenance work in support of field operations. This may be performed by ExxonMobil employees or contractor resources. Position typically reports to a supervisor. Tasks and Responsibilities Estimate workload and establish completion timelines Assist mechanical engineers with planning and testing of mechanical components, equipment, and machinery Support preparation of proposals and cost estimates Actively participate in use of all job safety tools and procedures Review and execute assigned job packs Identify and mitigate safety issues prior to beginning work Record technical history and maintenance documentation within workgroup systems (GRT, data sheets, etc.) Provide feedback for job pack improvements to Execution FLS Request permits and notify Supervisor if permits are delayed beyond 30 minutes Support maintenance and repair activities involving pumps and air compressors Qualifications Discipline-appropriate certifications preferred or equivalent field experience Strong communication skills with ability to clearly explain field conditions and remediation recommendations Team-oriented mindset with willingness to support coworkers and cross-functional teams Ability to adapt to changing priorities, tight deadlines, and heavy workloads Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite Experience with pump maintenance and air compressor maintenance required Additional Notes No man camp or per diem provided XTO will provide 4-gas monitor M&G preference is in-person interview (45 minutes preferred); Zoom accommodations available if needed #J-18808-Ljbffr Rwdy-Inc
