Job Description

This posting will remain open to generate a pool of qualified student applicants for available positions during the semester The SI Leader willassist students in academic achievement by working closely with faculty, attending classes and holding SI sessions to review and reinforce course content. This program is a supplement to teaching and independent study. The SI Leader position reports to the Director of Academic Success Centers, as well as the Faculty/Department they are supporting.

• Attend class and model effective classroom behavior
• Conduct regularly scheduled one-hour group study (SI sessions) 2 to 5 times a week
• Integrate study strategies (process) with course content
• Keep regular and accurate records of SI, using the Navigate online program
• Develop and maintain relationships with professor, student participants, and SI staff
• Work some hours in the Tutor Center for those students who cannot make scheduled session times

Required Qualifications

• Must be a currently enrolled student and registered for classes.
