Quality Control Laboratory Technician

Position Purpose Runs the analyses the plant depends on to know what it made and whether it can be released. Key Responsibilities Perform routine analysis of raw materials, in process samples, intermediates and finished product. Operate and maintain HPLC, GC, spectrophotometers, titrators and other analytical instrumentation. Perform microbiological testing including plating, purity checks and contamination screening. Record results accurately, flag out of specification results promptly and support investigations. Maintain instrument calibration, reagent preparation and reference standard control. Keep the laboratory clean, safe and compliant with chemical handling requirements. Support method development and validation work directed by the Laboratory Manager. Required Qualifications Associate or bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology or a related science. Two or more years in an analytical or quality control laboratory. Hands on HPLC or GC experience. Careful, disciplined documentation habits. Preferred Qualifications Microbiology and aseptic technique experience. Laboratory information management system experience.
