About the Position

Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 5x8-Hour Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in neurosurgical procedures including craniotomies and complex spine surgeries License: Valid state RN license required Certifications: BLS, CNOR preferred Must-Have: Full competence in all neurosurgical procedures. Ability to float between units as needed. On-call availability required once per week and one weekend every six weeks. Familiarity with the Epic charting system. Description: The Operating Room Registered Nurse will provide specialized care in the main operating room. This nurse must possess experience in neurosurgical procedures. Expectation includes performing at a 1:1 patient ratio. Nursing skills in diverse surgical procedures such as craniotomies, complex spine surgeries, and other general, orthopedic, neuro, and pediatric surgeries are required. The role may also involve floating to other services within the main operating room. The nurse will be expected to participate in on-call duties. Commitment to high standards of patient care is essential. The nurse should be able to handle high-pressure environments and work collaboratively within interdisciplinary teams. Strong infection control and safety protocols must be adhered to. Professional development and education are encouraged.
