Key Responsibilities\n

  • Perform comprehensive mental health assessments to understand each patient's unique needs, particularly considering how existing medical conditions affect their mental wellness.

  • Provide immediate crisis intervention and support during mental health emergencies, equipped with the skills to assess risk and implement safety plans.

  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date, and confidential documentation in compliance with HIPAA standards and other relevant regulations.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The ideal candidate will provide services to a varied patient population, including individuals with autoimmune disorders, substance use issues, and chronic pain, among others. Qualifications\n

  • A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

  • Current licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Psychoanalyst, Psychologist, or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of New York.
  • \n
  • Demonstrated experience in addressing mental health issues, especially those related to co-occurring medical conditions.
  • \n
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, ensuring effective engagement with patients and collaboration with colleagues.
  • \n
  • Ability to uphold professional boundaries and maintain strict ethical standards, ensuring patient confidentiality at all times.

  • Proficiency in the use of electronic health record systems and relevant computer applications.
  • \n
Preferred Experience\n

  • Experience in a telehealth setting, with a comfort level for using digital technologies to deliver psychotherapy.

  • Advanced knowledge of evidence-based treatment modalities, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT).

  • Previous experience in collaborative care environments, working alongside medical providers to deliver comprehensive patient care.
