About Our Client

A well-established and growing commercial construction management firm is seeking an experienced Estimator to join its preconstruction team. This organization specializes in design-build, general contracting, and construction management services across a diverse portfolio that includes industrial, manufacturing, warehousing, healthcare, multifamily, hospitality, and commercial projects. The company is known for its collaborative approach, strong client relationships, and commitment to delivering high-quality projects from concept through completion.The Estimator will play a critical role in preparing accurate cost estimates, developing budgets, coordinating subcontractor pricing, and supporting the project team throughout the preconstruction process. This individual will work closely with owners, architects, engineers, and operations personnel to ensure projects are competitively priced and positioned for success.

Job Description

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labor, and equipment.
• Analyze project plans, specifications, and requirements to determine project scope and costs.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and contractors to gather necessary information for estimates.
• Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing.
• Review and evaluate bid proposals to ensure alignment with project specifications and budgets.
• Monitor project budgets and provide updates on cost variances as required.
• Assist in value engineering and cost control efforts to optimize project efficiency.
• Maintain accurate records of estimates, bids, and project costs for future reference.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Estimator should have:

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred.
• 3+ years of estimating experience within commercial, industrial, or construction management environments.
• Strong knowledge of commercial construction methods, materials, and systems.
• Experience with conceptual estimating, hard-bid projects, negotiated work, or design-build delivery methods.
• Proficiency with estimating software, Microsoft Excel, and construction management platforms.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple estimates simultaneously.
