Job Description Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems (RMS) is seeking a Software Engineering Intern for Summer 2026 in Owego, New York. The intern will collaborate closely with a team of engineers within the Airborne Electronic Warfare (AEW) organization, gaining valuable insights into the critical role that Electronic Warfare and Mission Planning play in modern military operations. In this role, you will refine your software development skills through coding, requirements analysis, unit testing, documentation review, and troubleshooting problem reports found during testing. You will also provide written and verbal status updates on testing progress to the concurrent engineering team. Basic Qualifications Pursuing a Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) degree. Experience with C, C++, Java, and/or Python programming languages. Familiarity with software development lifecycles. Ability to obtain a US government security clearance. Desired Skills Agile software development experience. Familiarity with JIRA and Confluence tools. Security Clearance Statement This position requires a government security clearance. The applicant must be a US citizen. Clearance level: Secret. Pay & Benefits Annual base salary for this position ranges from $29,598 to $64,168, depending on location.
