We would love for you to become a member of our team!Center has private employee parkingAll day shift hoursPer DiemThe Urgent Care Registered Nurse (RN) provides patient care in a fast‑paced urgent care environment by performing assessments, treatments, and procedures in accordance with established clinical protocols and provider direction. The RN functions as a clinical support professional who identifies changes in patient condition, communicates findings to the treating provider, and implements ordered care. This role focuses on safe execution of nursing skills, patient monitoring, documentation accuracy, and collaboration with the care team to support efficient clinic operations and a positive patient experience. Clinical competency oversight is maintained through the organization’s clinical leadership and quality programs while daily operational supervision is provided by the Regional Operations Manager.QualificationsRequired: Active RN license in good standingExperience: Minimum of 5+ years of clinical nursing experience in emergency department, or critical care nursing strongly preferredCertifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS certificationSkills: Strong critical thinking, quick decision-making, crisis management, and the ability to work under high pressure; proficient in IV insertion (all ages), indwelling urethral catheter placement (Foley, Coudé), IV fluid and medication administration, Medication administration and patient monitoringProficiency in splinting, wound care, suture removal, and assisting with minor proceduresExperience with point-of-care testing (POCT)Experience with phlebotomyExperience with electronic medical records (EMR) systemsKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesClinical Judgment: Ability to assess and respond to medical emergencies effectivelyCommunication: Strong verbal and written communication skillsTeamwork: Collaborates effectively with emergency and healthcare teamsTechnology: Familiarity with medical equipment and electronic documentationCompliance: Knowledge of HIPAA and EMS regulationsEmpathy: Demonstrates compassion and professionalism in patient careTime Management: Manages multiple tasks efficiently under pressureProblem-Solving: Proactively addresses challenges in emergency settingsAdditional RequirementsDemonstrated competency in Electrocardiogram (EKG) testing and Venipuncture proceduresKnowledge of medical office management systems and proceduresExcellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize workSocial perceptiveness and service orientedExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong organizational and planning skillsProficiency in MS Office and patient management softwareKnowledge of Electronic Medical RecordsPoint of Care TestingUnderstanding of HIPAAWorking ConditionsFast-paced, unpredictable environment requiring high adaptability.Shift work, including nights, weekends, and holidays.Physical stamina for standing, lifting, and moving patientsNote: this job description is not inclusive of all the duties of the position.
