Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30) | Expected 36 or 48 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a high-volume Emergency Department environment, with a significant portion of the patient population consisting of admitted and ED holding patients
• Administer medications, including IV medications, following the seven medication rights
• Document and communicate clinical findings accurately and in a timely manner
• Manage patient ratios of 1:5 in the Emergency Department setting
• Float to Adult PCUs based on staffing needs; floating to Pediatric ED is optional; potential floating to ED Holding and Trauma based on experience
• Work scheduled weekend shifts as needed; weekend nights are considered Friday, Saturday, and Sunday

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license (NM license may be pending at time of submission)
• TNCC certification required prior to submission
• ACLS, BLS, PALS certifications required (NIH may pend until compliance document due date)
• RQI certifications are not accepted in place of required certifications
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room experience required (1.5 years may be considered on a case-by-case basis)
• Prior travel nursing experience strongly preferred; candidates with 2+ years of Level I Trauma experience may be considered without travel experience
• Must live more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible; non-local driver's license required on file
• Must be available to work holidays as scheduled, including Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day — no holiday RTO approved for December starts
• Charting experience with Cerner preferred
• 48-hour contracts available only to travelers with both Level I and travel experience
• Assignments are a minimum of 10 weeks; after 1 year or 4 consecutive contracts, a 6-month system break is required (whichever occurs first)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Level I Trauma center experience strongly preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience
• Familiarity with high-volume admitted patient and ED holding workflows
• Experience in a teaching hospital or children's hospital environment
