Ultrasound Technologist

Hourly Pay Range: $35.35 - $54.79 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

• Sign on bonus: $10,000
• Position: Ultrasound/Vascular Technologists
• Location: Swedish Hospital, Chicago
• Full Time/Part Time: 40 hours/week
• Hours: Mon-Wed 12:00 pm-8:30 pm; Fri 9:00 am-5:30 pm; Sat 7:00-3:30
• Required Travel: No

What You Will Do:

• Performs ultrasound exams.
• Performs vascular exams.
• Related paperwork.
• Explanation of exams.
• Assists radiologist/physician with all biopsies, specialized ultrasound and vascular exams.
• Stocking of linens and supplies as needed.
• Cleans and maintains room/equipment.
• Understands the utilization of PACS.
• Promotes timely workflow.
• Adheres to all OSHA and Infection Control policies.
• The duties listed may not be all inclusive.
• Assists in the transporting of acutely ill patients as needed.
• Assists with clerical duties (phone, scheduling, computer entry, etc.).
• Helps insure safe and clean working environment for patients and co-workers.

What You Will Need:

• Education: High School Required, Completion of Ultrasound program
• Certification: Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) Required, AHA BLS
• Skills: Must have the ability to handle ultrasound and vascular equipment and properly position patients. Must use good judgment in determining alternate scanning methods when standard imaging is impossible. Must have the ability to practice good patient care without constant supervision.
