Travel Make a real difference as a travel PTA in Auburn, MA working in an outpatient setting. You will assist patients recovering from injury or illness to improve mobility, reduce pain, and regain independence under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. Duties include implementing treatment plans, training patients in use of assistive devices, applying therapeutic modalities, documenting progress, and promoting patient and workplace safety.

Minimum Qualifications Associate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program. Active Massachusetts PTA license required to start assignment. BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required. Experience in outpatient physical therapy preferred. Ability to perform safe patient handling and use common therapeutic modalities (ultrasound, TENS, hot/cold, paraffin, therapeutic pool) preferred.

Preferred Qualifications Prior experience working in outpatient clinics with a focus on orthopedics or community re-entry training. Familiarity with documentation of patient progress and interdisciplinary team communication.

Assignment Details Shift pattern: 5x8. Must embrace organizational safety practices and participate in safe patient handling protocols. May be asked to participate in special projects and quality improvement activities.

Impacting Patient Care Provide high-quality outpatient physical therapy services focused on restoring function and independence. You will implement therapist-established plans of care, document patient responses, educate patients and families on body mechanics and equipment use, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support patient-centered outcomes. Safety and infection control practices are required at all times.

Location Highlights Auburn, MA offers convenient access to regional outdoor and cultural attractions. The city is within a 30–40 minute drive of Wachusett Mountain for hiking and skiing and about 30 minutes from Worcester for museums and performing arts venues.
