Develop nursing care plans, obtaining medical histories, examining patients, documenting conditions, and conferring with families. Teach healthcare requirements by instructing patients, families, and friends about their conditions, medications, and self‑care skills. Evaluate patient care by adhering to therapeutic standards, measuring health outcomes, and re‑evaluating care objectives. Maintain a safe and healthy patient care environment by adhering to infection‑control policies, medication administration protocols, and regulation compliance. Document patient care services by charting in patient and department records. Keep patient‑care equipment operating by following instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, and arranging for repairs. Ensure patient‑care supplies are ready by checking stock, anticipating needs, and placing orders. Maintain competence in nursing capabilities as outlined by leadership.
