Tank Mechanic

Job Overview We are looking for an experienced Tank Mechanic for our Chesapeake, VA location. Address: 4141 S. Military Hwy, Chesapeake, VA 23321 Shift: Monday - Friday 8am-5pm Pay Range: $20-22/hr Role overview: Working on ISO Tank Containers by pressure testing tanks, draining and dry‑out the inside of the tank. Repair and replace tank container valves, gaskets and gauges. Position Responsibilities Pressure test, repair and replace valves, gaskets and gauges Drain tank and ensure it is dry Operate hoists, cranes, and precision measuring and testing instruments Observe and listen to mechanical devices to diagnose causes of mechanical issues Repair and replace defective parts, inspect and adjust used parts Lubricate and clean parts Operate lathe, drill press and grinders Use hand tools and power tools Qualifications and Benefits Candidates possess a mechanical background Possess good communication skills (verbal and written) Detail oriented Ability to wear a respirator, be comfortable with both heights on top of tanks Work in enclosed spaces inside of tanks Medical, dental and vision Insurance 401(k) with generous employer match Paid time off, including 10 paid holidays Optional health savings account & flexible spending account #J-18808-Ljbffr
