Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation Associate

Job Overview A law firm seeks an Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation Associate in Austin, TX. The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in executive compensation and employee benefits law, focusing on equity plans, executive retention packages, and compensation arrangements in mergers and acquisitions, particularly private equity transactions. Duties Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support transaction preparation Draft well-reasoned legal documents, including memos and contracts Assist in managing complex transactions from inception to resolution Build and maintain strong client relationships through professional interaction Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative transaction strategies Participate in high-level legal activities, including client meetings and negotiations Ensure compliance with legal standards and stay updated on legal precedents Engage in professional development to enhance legal and leadership skills Contribute to firm programs, civic organizations, and pro bono work Requirements 3 years of corporate experience Experience with AmLaw 100 firm preferred Ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues Produce timely, accurate, and quality work products Manage competing demands in a fast-paced environment Education JD degree from an accredited law school. Certifications Admitted to practice in the state of Texas.
