Materials Buyer - Direct - Intermediate Position Details

  5500 E 2nd Street, Benicia, CA 94510
• Schedule:
  100% Onsite
• Shift:
  Monday - Friday | 8-Hour Day Shift
• Pay Rate: $30.80hour

Purchaser Job Description Key Responsibilities

• Create and manage purchase orders (POs) using MRP software
• Track shipments and resolve delivery issues
• Communicate with vendors regarding open orders, scheduling, and RFQs
• Communicate with internal departments and purchase requesters regarding order status, delays, or issues
• Negotiate pricing, lead times, and vendor terms
• Maintain vendor relationships and ensure timely delivery of materials
• Purchase items from online vendors as required by MRP (Material Requirements Planning) software
• Generate weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports related to purchase orders
• Partner with the accounting department to research discrepancies between receipts and invoices
• Obtain RMAs from suppliers and process DMR parts through the system

Required Skills

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize based on business demands
• Ability to deliver solutions under tight deadlines
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.) or Google Docs/Sheets
• Strong attention to detail
• Technical parts knowledge - electronic components experience is a plus
