Starting Pay: $13–$16 per hour, depending on experience and demonstrated ability

About Phone Lab

Phone Lab is a locally owned electronics repair and sales company serving customers in Cartersville and Calhoun. We repair phones, tablets, computers, game systems, and other electronic devices. We also assist customers with device purchases, accessories, data transfers, technical problems, and general technology needs.

We are looking for a dependable, motivated individual who takes pride in their work and wants to develop valuable technical and customer-service skills.

This is not a position where you will simply stand behind a counter. You will learn how to identify problems, communicate repair options, work with small electronic components, assist customers, sell products and services, and help keep the store operating professionally.

Previous electronics repair experience is helpful, but it is not required. We are willing to train the right person who demonstrates reliability, patience, attention to detail, and a genuine willingness to learn.

Primary Responsibilities

Responsibilities may include:

• Greeting customers and determining how Phone Lab can assist them
• Checking in phones, tablets, computers, and game systems for repair
• Accurately documenting device conditions, reported problems, passwords, accessories, and customer information
• Communicating repair prices, estimated completion times, warranties, and available options
• Diagnosing basic hardware and software problems
• Performing repairs such as screen replacements, battery replacements, charging-port repairs, camera replacements, and other component-level repairs as training progresses
• Assisting with computer troubleshooting, software installation, data transfers, and device setup
• Testing repaired devices thoroughly before returning them to customers
• Selling devices, cases, screen protectors, chargers, and other accessories
• Answering phone calls and providing customers with professional updates
• Maintaining accurate repair notes and customer records
• Protecting customer privacy and handling customer devices responsibly
• Keeping tools, workstations, displays, and customer areas clean and organized
• Learning new devices, repair procedures, products, and technology
• Helping the team complete daily store responsibilities

Preferred Experience

Experience in any of the following areas is helpful but not required:

• Phone, tablet, computer, or game-console repair
• Electronics troubleshooting
• Customer service
• Retail sales
• Computer building or software installation
• Working with hand tools
• Technical hobbies or personal repair projects
• Inventory management or point-of-sale systems
