Food Service Associate - Alltown

Overview Global Partners is seeking a Food Service Associate / Deli Clerk to manage the store’s deli and food service daily operations, ensuring sanitation, store appearance, and guest service. Responsibilities Process cash register transactions, giving back change and refunds. Operate register, scales, scanners, and debit/credit terminals. Use UPC codes, store signage, and register keys and codes. Read and interpret UPC codes, product labels, shelf signage, register forms, and posted company policies and procedures. Handle deli ingredients including meats, vegetables, fruits, spices, nuts, flavorings, sauces, and oils. Use scale printer machines to ensure accurate weights and pricing. Monitor product pricing, signage, and placement, applying product shelf tags and shelf signage. Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly checkout stand, sales counter, and production areas. Prepare, wrap, box, weigh, slice, and stock deli and food service products, rotating them as necessary to ensure quality and safety. Prepare and cook deli items such as fried foods, salads, sandwiches, roller grill items, hot and cold beverages, prepared meals, and snack items. Work safely around sharp slicers, tools, hot ovens, and burners. Display products following deli department and/or merchandising guidelines. Take guest orders, ensuring orders are completed on time and to the guest’s satisfaction. Perform other duties assigned by the Store Manager. Qualifications High School Diploma or Equivalent. Minimum age 16. At least 2 years of food service or retail management experience. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally and work in walk‑in coolers and freezers. Capacity to stand for long periods, bend and twist below the waist, and lift or maneuver merchandise and supplies. Keen dexterity with hands and fingers to use knives, slicers, burners, ovens, fryers, and rotisseries (age 18+). Reliable transportation and an active driver’s license. ServSafe certification preferred. Pay Range $16.05 - $19.26 per hour. The final amount offered at the start of employment is determined by experience, skills, and geographic location.
