Senior Scrum Master, ServiceNow GRC/IRM Duration: 12 months with possibility for extension Location: Chicago, IL, onsite 3 days per week Project overview: Risk Controls Enhancements (RCE) The Risk Controls Enhancements (RCE) initiative is an enterprise-wide modernization and consolidation effort for Governance, Risk, and Controls (GRC) processes, data, and reporting. The Senior Scrum Master will guide the agile team(s) responsible for implementing the ServiceNow Integrated Risk Management (IRM) platform to ensure the project delivers valuable outcomes effectively and efficiently. Contractor's Role The Senior Scrum Master is a servant-leader and agile expert responsible for guiding the development team and the organization through the implementation of the ServiceNow IRM solution. Qualifications (must Have) Agile and Scrum expertise: Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master, preferably on large-scale enterprise modernization projects. Deep functional understanding and experience with Agile and Scrum frameworks, principles, and practices. Proven experience in facilitating all Scrum events, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. ServiceNow and GRC knowledge: Strong familiarity with ServiceNow, including the Integrated Risk Management (IRM) suite. Understanding of core GRC processes and modules, including risk management, issue management, controls testing, and policy and compliance. Experience working with development teams to ensure technical solutions align with established business requirements. Leadership and coaching skills: Proven ability to coach development teams toward greater self-organization and maturity. Demonstrated experience in removing impediments and resolving conflicts to maximize team performance. Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders. Nice to Have: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field. Relevant certifications such as Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) are highly desirable. Ability to act as a change agent, promoting Agile principles and practices across the organization.
