Nurse Manager Acute Care Cardiac/Telemetry/Renal /

Job Summary: RN Manager for a 28‑bed combination Cardiac/Telemetry/Med‑Surg/Renal unit on the 7th floor at Wellstar Paulding. Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions Resources and Support: Engage staff in decision‑making via shared governance processes and promote relationship‑based care delivery systems that support patient‑centered care and service excellence. Serve as unit/program chief retention and safety officer to manage talent and protect human and material resources. Analyze and manage financial resources; utilize lean and other quality tools to reduce waste and improve performance of operations and clinical systems of care. Integrate marketing and communication strategies to advance the service line and organization as a whole. Interdisciplinary Teamwork and Collaboration: Communicate effectively to diverse audiences on nursing, health care, and organizational issues, setting standards and holding leaders and staff accountable. Proactively establish a healthy workplace by reducing or resolving unnecessary conflict and partnering with Human Resources when needed. Establish partnerships through strong relationship‑building skills with staff, departments, and medical staff, using reflective practice skills to monitor self and others’ performance. Create opportunities for professional growth and implement a desirable workplace to recruit and retain talented leaders and staff. Exemplary Practice and Outcomes: Promote staff competency in clinical care delivery and hold staff to the highest professional standards and ethics. Serve as an active member of the professional community, acting as a role model for nursing practice and leadership. Employ change‑management strategies and foster curiosity to explore new knowledge and ideas. Exercise coaching and guiding skills to manage a varied generational and diverse workforce. Professional Development: Possess knowledge of health care financing and use it to manage human and material resources effectively. Develop and manage operational budgets to achieve target performance. Represent the organization positively to the community and participate in committees and task forces. Evidence‑Based Practice and Research: Promote evidence‑based practice, nursing research, and performance improvement. Participate in value analysis and decision‑making processes evaluating patient care products. Identify risk areas and proactively ensure compliance and safety standards, meeting licensure, regulatory, and accreditation requirements. Apply data and evidence to support clinical and operational decisions while maintaining patient and staff confidentiality. Perform other duties as assigned and comply with all Wellstar Health System policies, standards of work, and code of conduct. Required Minimum Education Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (required). Master’s degree in Nursing (preferred). Required Minimum Licenses and Certifications RN – Regular Nurse (Single State) or RN‑COMPACT – RN (Multi‑state Compact) BLS – Basic Life Support All other certifications required upon hire unless otherwise stated.
