Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Float Position in Carlsbad. This inpatient nursing role involves general medical-surgical nursing duties with occasional non-critical pediatric patients on the floor. The position requires flexibility to float across units and adhere to the facility's policies and procedures. The assignment is scheduled to start on 10/26/2026 and conclude on 01/25/2027.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights, 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: 2+ years of experience in medical-surgical nursing, current BLS certification, and eligibility to work in New Mexico with fingerprinting completed as per state requirements
• Preferred Qualifications: ACLS & PALS certifications
• Float: Float rotation may be required
• Additional Information: The assignment is for a general medical-surgical inpatient nursing unit with a patient ratio of 1:6. Scrub color may be any color and the EMR system used is MedHost. The unit may accommodate blocked scheduling and 48-hour guarantees if included in the body of the submission. There is no on-call schedule for this role, except for census flex prior to the start of the scheduled shift if census is low. Please submit candidates only if your agency is registered with the state of New Mexico due to fingerprinting procedures.
