Aircraft Electrician I

Location: Crestview, FL
Job Type: Full-Time, Contract | Onsite
Pay Rate: $37.26/hour

Johnson Service Group is seeking an Aircraft Electrician I to support aircraft electrical installation, modification, maintenance, and testing in Crestview, FL.

Responsibilities

• Install, route, terminate, and test aircraft electrical cables and wire harnesses.
• Work with fiber optic, 1553 data bus, RF, Twinax, Triax, Quadrax, and Ethernet cables.
• Remove and install aircraft components as required.
• Read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams, routing drawings, harness assembly drawings, blueprints, and engineering specifications.
• Follow manufacturers' maintenance manuals, technical data, service bulletins, and installation procedures.
• Use hand tools, power tools, support equipment, special tools, and calibrated test equipment.
• Perform electrical testing, continuity checks, troubleshooting, and installation verification.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and FOD-free work area.
• Properly handle hazardous materials and chemicals according to applicable regulations and company procedures.
• Work in and around aircraft, including standing, kneeling, crawling, working overhead, and other physical activities required for aircraft maintenance.

Basic Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of aircraft electrical experience in avionics, communications/navigation, guidance/control, electronic warfare, electro/environmental systems, or an equivalent field.
• Minimum 2 years of demonstrated experience with wire/harness fabrication, routing, installation, and testing .
• Ability to read and interpret aircraft electrical drawings, diagrams, blueprints, and specifications.
• Minimum or equivalent of a USAF 5-Level (Journeyman) or equivalent experience.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance .

Preferred Qualifications

• Avionics/electrical systems wire routing and installation experience.
• Military or commercial aircraft modification and installation experience.
• Experience with wire harness installation and checkout procedures.
• Experience with multiple wire/cable termination processes and continuity checks.
• Ability to interpret installation drawings, technical manuals, symbols, flags, and general notes.
• Experience working on C-130J aircraft .
• Active Secret security clearance preferred.
