In this role, you will be the backbone of our fundraising and volunteer initiatives, directly driving the resources that make our recovery programs possible.

Position Overview

The Development Assistant plays a critical role in nurturing and expanding our network of fundholders and volunteers. You will ensure the delivery of flawless donor relations, manage gift tracking processes, and provide key administrative support to our grant and fundraising pipelines. Core Responsibilities

Donor & Volunteer Relations:

• Manage the end-to-end gift acknowledgment process; track and deepen fundholder relationships; reconcile donations with the Finance Department.

Grant & Database Support:

• Research grant opportunities; maintain the grant database, deadlines, and reporting schedules; participate in strategic planning meetings.

Administrative Operations:

• Provide essential clerical and data-entry support to ensure efficient development department operations.

Qualifications & Experience

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred (ideally in non-profit management or communications); prior fundraising or non-profit experience highly preferred; passion for behavioral health recovery.

Key Skills:

• Exceptionally organized, tech-savvy (Office suites), strong written/verbal communicator, and comfortable with basic mathematical data entry.

Requirements:

• Valid Florida driver’s license and reliable personal transportation.
