In addition, the licensed employee shall perform in a manner that meets or exceeds each of the Standards and Elements for the applicable North Carolina evaluation process. Further, the licensed employee will ensure the following. Arrive at school each day at the principal-designated time, ready and prepared to complete all assigned duties. Complete all assigned and/or accepted extracurricular and non‑instructional duties in a timely and professional manner, including bus duty, cafeteria supervision, playground duty, supervision of extracurricular activities, service on committees, and any other duties assigned by the superintendent, principal, or other supervisor(s). When absent, provide detailed lesson plans for all classes/duties in advance; keep emergency lesson plans on file. Deliver instruction to ensure attainment of educational goals and objectives; prepare daily well‑prepared lesson plans. Participate in all required staff meetings and student academic meetings, including special‑needs meetings, professionally. Complete and transmit all required reports and documentation in a timely manner. Respond to all parent inquiries, complaints, and/or concerns in a timely and professional manner. Direct workplace complaints to the appropriate supervisor and avoid confrontations with co‑workers. Manage student behavior to minimize disruption and refer as necessary to administration for disciplinary action. Seek clarification whenever uncertain about any policy requirement.
