Responsibilities The role As a Behavior Technician (BT) or Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), you will work one-on-one with children with autism under the direct supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Every session is an opportunity to help a child speak their first words, try a new food, make a friend, or gain independence in daily life. You will implement individualized treatment plans targeting communication, behavior, feeding, activities of daily living (ADLs), and social skills — making a measurable difference in each child's journey. What your day looks like Implement individualized, evidence-based ABA treatment plans designed by a supervising BCBA to address each child's unique goals. Collect and record precise data to track each child's progress and inform ongoing treatment updates. Collaborate closely with your clinical supervisor to ensure consistent, high-quality care for every child. Build positive, trusting relationships with children, their families, and your fellow team members. Qualifications Required High School Diploma Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation Patience, compassion, and a genuine commitment to helping children with autism reach their goals Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a care team Preferred Bachelor's Degree (completed or in progress) 6+ months of experience working with children Certification Note Applicants who are not yet RBT-certified must complete the RBT coursework and pass the RBT exam within 90 days of hire. Physical Requirements Perform physical activities including reaching, grasping, walking briskly, running, sitting on the floor, kneeling, crouching, climbing stairs, and transitioning quickly between positions throughout the day. Communicate clearly and effectively using verbal and non-verbal methods appropriate for each child. Successfully complete Safety Care training and annual re-certifications, including carrying children per Safety Care protocols. Active participation in Safety Care is a condition of employment.
