Commercial and Industrial Sales Manager

Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Commercial and Industrial Sales Manager to drive revenue growth by identifying, developing, and closing battery energy storage system opportunities within the C&I market. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in complex B2B sales, a deep understanding of energy storage technologies, and the ability to build lasting relationships with key decision-makers across commercial and industrial sectors. Responsibilities Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed revenue targets for battery energy storage solutions in the commercial and industrial segments Identify and qualify new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, industry events, and strategic partnerships Manage the full sales cycle from initial contact through contract negotiation and close, including proposal development, technical presentations, and ROI analysis Build and maintain strong relationships with C-suite executives, facility managers, sustainability officers, and other key stakeholders Collaborate with engineering and project management teams to develop customized energy storage solutions that meet client needs Conduct detailed energy audits and financial analyses to demonstrate value propositions, including demand charge reduction, time-of-use optimization, and resilience benefits Stay current on industry trends, regulatory changes, incentive programs, and competitive landscape Maintain accurate sales pipeline data and forecasting in CRM system Represent Posh Energy at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events Work cross-functionally with marketing, operations, and finance teams to ensure successful project delivery and customer satisfaction Qualifications Required Qualifications 5+ years of successful B2B sales experience, preferably in energy, clean tech, or capital equipment Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas in complex, consultative sales environments Strong understanding of commercial and industrial energy consumption patterns, utility rate structures, and demand charges Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to translate technical concepts to diverse audiences Proven ability to build relationships and navigate complex organizational structures Self-motivated with strong organizational and time management skills Preferred Qualifications Experience selling battery energy storage systems, solar, microgrids, or related distributed energy resources Knowledge of energy storage incentive programs (ITC, SGIP, state-specific programs) Understanding of energy management software and controls Existing network of relationships in target C&I sectors (manufacturing, cold storage, data centers, agriculture, etc.) Technical background or engineering degree Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM platforms What We Offer Competitive base salary plus commission structure Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company match Professional development opportunities Collaborative and mission-driven work environment Opportunity to be part of the clean energy transition #J-18808-Ljbffr POSH
