Private Equity Analyst

Global Equity Team MemberBlackstone seeks to deliver compelling returns for institutional and individual investors by strengthening the companies in which the firm invests. Blackstone's over $1.3 trillion in assets under management include global investment strategies focused on real estate, private equity, credit, infrastructure, life sciences, growth equity, secondaries and hedge funds.The Global Equity Team is responsible for the administration, operations, and reporting for the firm's equity-based compensation program. In partnership with the Global Compensation Management team, HR business partners and the business managers, the team helps determine equity-based compensation awards for professionals across the firm. This group is responsible for managing the daily operations associated with managing the program and for paying distributions to unitholders in connection with the release of the firm's quarterly earnings. The team forecasts and records the equity-based comp expense and performs ad hoc reporting associated with equity holdings and coordinates with Finance to deliver financial reporting on impact to the firm.Responsibilities:Partner with the Global Compensation Team and HR Business Partners to value and execute new hire equity compensation awardsPerform detailed ad hoc analyses related to individual and firm-wide equity holdingsAssist with daily operations regarding administration of the firm's equity planGenerate monthly and quarterly reporting for equity participants and management teams as well as individual inquiriesAssist team members with SIG and Blackstone initiatives related to technology, reporting, and process improvementProvide monthly forecasts to Tax and FP&A and work with management on equity-based compensation reportingCollaborate with Payroll and Tax on the review and execution of equity deliveries across reporting jurisdictionsBuild and maintain dynamic financial models to assist in forecasting of distributions and share deliveriesAssist in enhancing reporting processes, analytics and operationsPerform strategic analyses and special projects, and execute group initiativesQualifications:Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance2+ years of work experienceStrong academic achievementStrong verbal and written communication skillsA desire to work in a team environment with dynamic rolesMotivation to find solutions independently, and humility to acknowledge limits and uncertaintiesSincere commitment to professional developmentExcellent attention to detailIntellectual curiosityGood judgmentStrong work ethic and a proactive approach to tasksThe duties and responsibilities described here are not exhaustive and additional assignments, duties, or responsibilities may be required of this position. Assignments, duties, and responsibilities may be changed at any time, with or without notice, by Blackstone in its sole discretion.Expected annual base salary range:$85,000 - $110,000Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, qualifications and job location. For roles located outside of the US, please disregard the posted salary bands as these roles will follow a separate compensation process based on local market comparables. Additional compensation and benefits offered in connection with the role consist of comprehensive health benefits, including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, and FSA benefits; paid time off; life insurance; 401(k) plan; and discretionary bonuses.
