Transportation Assistant

Transportation Specialist Pay: $24.00 - $25.00 per hour Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM We are seeking a detail-oriented Transportation Specialist to support daily transportation, logistics, and administrative operations within a fast-paced distribution environment. This role works closely with internal teams to coordinate shipments, maintain documentation, support audits, and ensure efficient transportation processes. Responsibilities Coordinate transportation planning and shipment activities Prepare and manage bills of lading and shipping documentation Research shipment issues and provide timely resolution Monitor inbound and outbound transportation activity Support UPS coordination and freight-related processes Maintain logs, reports, metrics, and audit documentation Assist with compliance, SOP adherence, and process improvement initiatives Communicate with internal teams, vendors, and carriers Support inventory, freight claims, and transportation-related investigations Provide administrative and clerical support to distribution operations Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred 2+ years of transportation, logistics, administrative, or distribution support experience Strong organizational and problem-solving skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems preferred Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment Note: This is an office-based administrative role and does not involve forklift operation or warehouse equipment use. #J-18808-Ljbffr
