Job Summary:
Pediatric Floor Registered Nurse (RN) Dickinson, North Dakota. This position involves providing care to pediatric and adult patients in a unit with a focus on both inpatient and observation services. The ideal candidate will have experience managing a variety of diagnoses including infections, altered mental status, pneumonia, and COPD, demonstrating strong communication and teamwork skills.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week, with a D/N rotation plus weekends as needed.
• Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, BLS Certification, PALS Certification, minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in pediatric and adult inpatient care, experience in a unit with both adult and pediatric patients, and experience managing common diagnoses like UTI, pneumonia, and COPD.
• Preferred Qualifications: Strong communication skills, motivation, approachability, ability to work collaboratively, and experience with electronic documentation in MEDITECH.
• Float: As needed, ED/ICU float rotation may be required for one-on-one patient care.
• Additional Information: The unit staff includes 2 nurses and 2 nursing aides during the day and 1 nurse aide on night shifts. The pediatric patients are managed with on-call pediatricians, and RNs may troubleshoot telemonitors and occasional BiPap machines, though ventilator management is not routine. The staff wears navy blue scrubs, and orientation consists of a 12-hour unit-specific shift or a combination of day and night shifts if needed. The facility operates under a CAH designation with a Level CAH trauma classification, and the EMR system used is MEDITECH.
