Program Manager

Location The Salvation Army Henderson Corps, Henderson, NV Position Youth Worker Overview We are seeking a Youth Worker to lead and assist the Corps Officers with youth programs including Sunday School classes, Sunday Morning Worship services, fellowship times, visitation, Bible studies, outreach, young adult ministries, after‑school activities, and summer day camp. Responsibilities Coordinate and drive youth programs and events. Prepare and cook meals and snacks for programs. Coordinate attendance with parents and schools. Manage staff and volunteers, schedule hours, and supervise activities. Maintain program files, materials, and equipment. Represent The Salvation Army positively in personal conduct and appearance. Qualifications Minimum two years of experience working with children in a Corps/Church setting or a two‑year college degree in Youth Ministries or Christian Education. Must be a Christian with a strong personal commitment to Christ and a willingness to discuss Christianity with children and adults. Experience with Salvation Army Christmas programs and knowledge of Salvation Army policies and procedures preferred. Valid food handler’s permit. Valid driver’s license and ability to acquire a vehicle permit. Must successfully complete a criminal background check. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and office equipment such as fax, copy, and print machines. Strong organizational skills and the ability to maintain files and materials. Good communication skills to engage parents, volunteers, and school professionals. Physical Requirements Ability to walk, stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and reach with hands and arms continuously. Must regularly lift or move up to 20 pounds, frequently lift or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift or move up to 75 pounds. Good vision, including close, distance, color, and depth perception, and the ability to focus. Ability to operate a telephone, desktop, or laptop computer and to understand written information.
