The ideal candidate will inspire students to think critically about historical and contemporary issues, foster civic engagement, and deliver engaging, standards-based instruction. Key Responsibilities Teach assigned high school Social Studies courses (e.g., World History, Preparing for College and Career, Economics, Personal Finance) Design and implement lessons aligned with Indiana Academic Standards Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment that supports diverse learners Use a variety of instructional strategies and assessment tools to monitor and support student progress Integrate technology and real-world connections into daily instruction Communicate regularly and effectively with students, parents, and colleagues Participate in school functions, professional development, and collaborative planning Uphold school policies and support the mission and goals of Tri-West High School Qualifications Secondary Education License (Grades 5-12) with a content area concentration in Historical Perspectives Bachelor's degree in Secondary Education, History, Political Science, or a related field required Strong content knowledge and classroom management skills Ability to connect with students and maintain a positive, respectful learning environment Commitment to professional growth and continuous improvement #J-18808-Ljbffr North West Hendricks Schools
