Transmission Project Team Lead (Austin)

Our Transmission & Distribution team is in search of a Transmission Project Team Lead to join our Austin, TX office. This role will involve overseeing high-voltage transmission line design projects ranging from 69 kV to 500 kV, requiring strong leadership, a strategic mindset, and an entrepreneurial spirit for both overhead and underground systems.We are looking for a dedicated individual to manage project execution, ensuring timely delivery, complying with scope and budget, and maintaining strong client relationships. Additionally, you will be involved in business development and proposal activities alongside Account Managers.ResponsibilitiesManage multiple transmission line projects from start to finishAct as the main point of contact for clientsDevelop proposals and lead presentationsTrack project schedules, budgets, and scopeImplement project controls and risk management processesSupervise internal teams and subcontractorsHandle financial aspects of projectsEnsure project deliverables meet quality standardsConduct progress meetings and provide regular updatesSupport business development effortsDesign Project ManagementFor design-focused projects, responsibilities include:Manage engineering efforts and design schedulesControl engineering budgets and deliverablesOversee QA/QC processesCoordinate subcontracting and field servicesHandle change orders and client reportsPlan for project turnover and startupRequirementsBachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field7+ years of experience in utility transmission projectsPE license and PMP certification preferredExperience managing teams and stakeholder relationshipsStrong communication and problem-solving skillsWillingness to travelValid driver's licenseBenefitsDynamic team environmentOpportunities for impactful projectsCompetitive compensation and benefitsCareer growth in a global organization
