Key Qualifications:

• Active RN license with strong Cardiothoracic ICU background
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in CVICU settings
• Direct experience with patients post-cardiothoracic surgery, especially "fresh hearts"
• Demonstrated competence in managing patients with CV surgical needs, cardiogenic shock, and abdominal aortic aneurysms
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS (all current and valid)
• Proficiency using EPIC electronic health records system
• Compliance with a 75-mile radius rule

Core Responsibilities:

• Deliver skilled, compassionate care to patients in a 6-bed CTICU
• Monitor and manage patients following complex cardiac surgical procedures
• Respond rapidly to changes in patient condition, utilizing advanced clinical judgment and interventions
• Collaborate efficiently with surgeons, intensivists, and multidisciplinary care teams to develop and update patient care plans
• Provide clear, accurate documentation on EPIC to support continuity of care
• Support and educate families, serving as a resource for patient updates and post-operative expectations
