Entitlements Coordinator
D.R. Horton, Inc., the largest homebuilder in the U.S., was founded in 1978 and is a publicly traded company on the New York Stock Exchange. It is engaged in the construction and sale of high quality homes designed principally for the entry-level and first time move-up markets. The company also provides mortgage financing and title services for homebuyers through its mortgage and title subsidiaries. D.R. Horton, Inc. is currently looking for an individual to participate in the entire due diligence process, including the physical and financial feasibility of a planned community. The role involves aiding in the coordination of legal counsel or consultants, the review/revision of plans, the acquisition of city or county approval, and monitoring and coordinating all other public hearings, including variances, amendments, etc. The candidate will attend meetings with city staff, the development team, as well as public hearings or neighbor meetings. They will also monitor the completion, submittal, and approval of construction plans, including soliciting bids for engineers and other consultants, coordinating the submittal of construction plans, zone and plat projects. Additionally, the candidate will conduct research of comps in the area, prepare applications and submit appeals to the county, and attend the tax appeal hearings. They will review impact fee audit agreements, development and school agreements, etc. All business will be conducted in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the company.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university
- One to three years of related experience and/or training
- Proficiency with MS Office and email
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and attention to detail
Salary: $90 - $110k annually
