Position Overview

Pay range: $22.90 - $37.25 / hour

Job Highlights

Our surgical pathology grossing and frozen section team supports real-time diagnostics that directly informs patient care in the operating room. Working collaboratively alongside pathologists' assistants, pathology specialists, and laboratory technicians, you'll help examine, dissect, and process specimens from routine biopsies to complex oncology and transplant cases. You'll assist with gross examination, tissue sampling, frozen section procedures, and intraoperative consultations to deliver timely, accurate information that helps guide surgical decisions. Job Description

To perform a variety of specialized, complex histological techniques (immunohistochemical/IHC, pathology molecular, renal). To assist supervisor and/or team leads with evaluating new instrumentation and/or methods, reagents, quality control, troubleshooting, equipment maintenance and Vantage data management. To assist team lead with frozen section lab and special procedures (IHC, renal).

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent required. Currently certified as a Histotechnician (HT) or Histotechnologist (HTL) by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) required.
