Candid Smiles Dentistry is a privately owned, family-style dental practice in Houston, Texas, and we are looking for a Registered Dental Hygienist to join our growing team.

Our clinical philosophy blends evidence-based dentistry with a mild holistic-leaning approach to product and protocol selection.

About the Role:

You will be the hygiene provider for an adult and pediatric patient base, partnering closely with the doctor on diagnosis, patient education, and treatment planning. We are looking for a clinically strong hygienist who values long-term patient relationships and works calmly inside a well-run clinical day.

What You Will Do:

• Provide preventive and therapeutic hygiene care, including prophylaxis, scaling and root planing, and periodontal maintenance.
• Perform periodontal assessment and risk classification, and document findings to support treatment planning.
• Use modern adjuncts including soft-tissue laser and ozone therapy as part of routine hygiene care.
• Acquire intraoral, panoramic, and CBCT imaging.
• Provide patient education that supports trust and treatment acceptance.
• Help maintain a smooth, on-time hygiene schedule.

What We Are Looking For:

Required:

• Active Texas Registered Dental Hygienist license in good standing.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.
• Two or more years of clinical hygiene experience.
• Strong periodontal skills and confident radiographic ability.
• Experience with dental practice-management software, with willingness to become proficient in our system quickly.
• Communication style that supports patient trust and treatment acceptance.
• Openness to a mild holistic-leaning clinical environment.

Preferred:

• Texas Local Anesthesia Permit.
• Experience with digital intraoral scanning, CBCT, soft-tissue laser, or ozone adjuncts.

Schedule:

• Full-time.
• Monday through Thursday with a Friday half-day.
• Specific hours discussed at interview.
