The Role

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Associate Attorney with significant litigation experience to join our team. This role is designed for a litigator who thrives in the courtroom and excels at the technical aspects of complex case development. The ideal candidate will possess the legal writing acumen necessary to draft winning briefs and the courtroom presence to advocate effectively in front of a judge or jury.

Key Responsibilities

• Legal Writing & Strategy: Draft complex pleadings, dispositive motions, and appellate briefs. Conduct deep legal research and synthesize facts into compelling narratives.
• Depositions: Lead the discovery process by taking and defending depositions of lay witnesses and corporate representatives (30(b)(6)).
• Courtroom Advocacy: Regularly appear in state and federal court for motion practice, evidentiary hearings, and settlement conferences.
• Trial Practice: Serve as a core member of trial teams, including second-chair (or first-chair depending on experience) responsibilities during jury trials.
• Case Management: Oversee litigation files from intake through resolution, ensuring all deadlines are met and strategic objectives are achieved.

Required Qualifications

• J.D. Degree from an accredited law school.
• Minnesota Bar Admission (active and in good standing).
• 3–7 years of litigation experience , specifically within personal injury, product liability, or complex civil litigation.
• Exceptional Writing Skills: A proven track record of drafting high-quality legal documents, including successful motion practice.
• Trial & Deposition Experience: Demonstrated ability to take lead on depositions and participate in courtroom proceedings.
• Collaborative Mindset: The ability to work closely with partners, paralegals, and expert witnesses in a fast-paced environment.
