StampTech Fasteners TM Division Description The ITW StampTech Fastener TM Division serves the major OEMs and Tier suppliers in the North American automotive market. The division supplies stamped metal fasteners and engineered fastener assemblies that leverage our deep-draw stamping technologies. The annual revenue for the division is approximately $160 million. Locations include Gallatin, TN, Lexington, KY & Naugatuck, CT. Primary Key Responsibilities First article inspections, in-process testing, final and receiving inspections. Use of hand gages such as calipers, micrometers, thickness gages, and thread gages. Use of optical comparators, vision measurement systems or CMM experience. Use of testing equipment for torque, force, and Rockwell hardness. Use of Measurlink software (SPC charts, X‑Bar R Charts, histograms, control limits, etc.). Basic computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, Email, etc.). Blueprint reading and basic understanding of GD&T. Familiarity with ISO/TS16949 & ISO/IEC 17025 requirements. Participate in training of production employees as needed. Perform 5S responsibilities. Document defects and recommendations for improvement (rejection control report). Follow all rules, regulations and work processes set forth by the company. Create and maintain a safe working environment. Competently perform all tasks with a focus on safety within a fast-paced environment. Contribute to team effort through continuous improvement and success for the entire team. When assigned, perform occasional additional duties for training or other purposes as necessary. Cross‑train with department co‑workers to increase knowledge, flexibility and efficiency. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. ASQ certification preferred. Proficiency with calipers, micrometers, indicators, thickness gages, thread gages, optical comparators, vision measurement systems, torque testers, force testers, and Rockwell hardness testers. 1–2 years in a manufacturing environment with quality assurance experience preferred. Technical school preferred. Experience operating a forklift. Experience with quality management software preferred. Great organizational and time‑management abilities. Attention to detail. Effective professional communication with the public or employees at all levels. Ability to work safely in a fast‑paced environment. Mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and unit conversions. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees. Ability to work in a team or independently. Willingness to work overtime. Physical Demands Physical demands described include standing, walking, using hands and fingers, handling or feeling, talking or hearing, smelling, frequent reaching with hands and arms, occasional sitting, stooping or crouching, and lifting or moving up to 45 pounds. Specific vision abilities required are close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Exposure to moving mechanical parts, vibration, fumes or airborne particles, extreme heat, electrical shock, and loud noise levels.
