Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical

Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive care on a Medical-Surgical unit, with occasional responsibilities across various specialized units. The RN will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, ensuring safety and compliance with clinical standards.

Responsibilities:

• Administer patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing interventions.
• Monitor patients' vital signs, telemetry, and medical status, ensuring accurate documentation and timely responses.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and update individualized care plans.
• Utilize Epic EMR proficiently to document care activities, medication administration, and patient progress.
• Float between Medical-Surgical, Stroke, Oncology, Cardiac, and Observation units as needed.
• Maintain a safe environment, adhere to hospital policies, and participate in quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active RN license with current US licensure.
• Possess a minimum of 3 years recent Telemetry and/or Stepdown experience.
• Demonstrate proficiency in Epic EMR; refresher courses or one-on-one training are not acceptable.
• Maintain current BLS certification.
• Be able to pass a telemetry competency test on day one of orientation.
• Ability to work day shifts, every other weekend, with no call requirements.
