This position requires the use of electrical and physical characterization techniques combined with using AI tools and statistical analysis to identify failures introduced by fabrication and assembly process, as well as testing marginalities. You will be responsible for communicating and coordinating component-level improvement activities with Product, Process, Quality and Test Engineering teams.ResponsibilitiesPerform electrical and statistical failure analysis to understand failure mechanismsIdentify causes of component failures through data analysisWork closely with partner engineering teams to resolve fabrication and assembly process defect related issues and test flow marginalitiesUsing AI such as Claude and Copilot, as well as statistical tools, for detailed data analysis to improve component performanceMinimum Qualifications5+ years of experience using electrical and statistical failure analysis to understand failure mechanisms5+ years of experience in the application of electrical and physical characterization techniques.Proven experience demonstrating analytical abilities combined with proficiency in applying statistical tools for analyzing data.Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Physics, or Materials SciencePreferred Qualifications7+ years of experience using electrical and statistical failure analysis to understand failure mechanisms7+ years of experience in the application of electrical and physical characterization techniques.Advanced coursework in VLSI, device physics, semiconductor processes, Python, and statistics.Experience with AI tools for component failure analysis, (Claude/Copilot).Experience using JMP statistical software.Demonstrated strong communication skills in a cross-functional team environment.As a world leader in the semiconductor industry, Micron is dedicated to your personal wellbeing and professional growth.
